Tree Benefits Calculator

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

If you have ever wondered what a tree is worth to you and your landscape, there is a tool now available on line that you must check out. This tool is called the National Tree Benefit Calculator and was developed by Casey Trees and Davey Tree Expert Company. This tool allows anyone to make an estimation of the benefits provided by individual streetside trees. It does not however give someone the cost to replace a specific tree because that is size and location dependent. The calculator provides an estimate, not a precise value, of the tree’s annual benefits. A pie chart gives a quick visual of the benefits and breaks them down into five main categories: stormwater, property value, energy, air quality and CO2. You can find this tool at Check it out, and KEEP ON PLANTING!
